Re: My Reptile Area is Complete

The last Boaphile came this past week. It's Toref's tank.

13 tanks now and 13 reptiles. Awesome.

Left side has 7 tanks and the right side has 6 tanks. Toref's tank is the top tank on the right side and he moved in earlier last week.

The reptile area is NOW COMPLETE!

I will post pictures when I finish cleaning up down there.

I really like those Boaphile bases. Higher than my wimpy AP 8 inchers. That extra height of the Boaphiles make a huge difference for a beat up old guy.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Overweight from Prednisone Post-Kidney Transplant doesn't help much either getting on the ground, and off the ground!

The tanks on the left are 11.5" off the ground, but the tanks on the right are 17.5" off the ground. WOW! What a difference that makes. For the tanks on the left, I wear kneepads I got from home depot for $25 or so and they've lasted for a while and still look brand new.

Those kneepads are worth their weight in gold.

You're set up nicely over there Dave! You can just sit back and enjoy the view . I'm going to reconfigure my snake room next year and you just gave me a few ideas.

Re: My Reptile Area is Complete

Well, I spent a while cleaning the reptile area today. It's neat and as roomy as it can be now. I still need to find time to rewire everything, because some of the wires are messy, but otherwise, it's looking good.

Shayna moved into the top tank on the 4X2' stack today (Toref's old tank) today and Jeff moves into Shayna's (old) 6X2' tomorrow.

I also added another 7 feet of the philips hue strip lighting and now the area is nice and bright when I want it, but also fully dimmable when I want to feed, or relax down there.

I'll post pictures when I can, but basically, cleaner/neater and brighter.

Very very nice! I’ll be moving my corn into our finished basement once it’s fully finished. And then I’ll have the space for some additions. Just need to get the wife on board
