    Lost Ball Python

I’ve had my BP for 1 year now and this is the first mistake I’ve made with her. Sunday when I was feeding her I forgot to latch her door shut and she got out and my vent cover was off. I tore my room apart looking for her I put baby powder on Suran wrap incertain spots in my room, and I covered the vent back up. When I woke up this morning there was no sign of her. My fear is that she went in the vent, so tonight I uncovered the vent put her hides next to them. Do you guys have any other tips on how to draw her out?

All I can think is defrost his favourite meal and leave it by the vent in his open Viv... Maybe he would eat and get in his hide

I assume you mean a heating vent? Id figure out where It goes and tear it apart. Also don’t rule out other places search that house bottom to top starting closest to the viv.

Snake escapees will typically follow the closest wall and go into the first dark hiding spot they find, unless they are very hungry and hunting. follow the closest wall at the point of Escape in both directions until you reach somewhere to hide.

I would use flour for that as others have, NOT 'baby powder'. FYI, talcum powder (including 'baby powder') has been linked to cancer risks in humans*, and used on
the floor, your snake will be inhaling quite a bit when (or if) they crawl through it. (*humans are also much bigger with more complex immune systems than snakes)

Best of luck, keep looking, don't give up!
