    Space Heaters

I moved into a new house in June, so this will be our first fall and winter here. As the cooler weather approaches, I’m worried that this house’s temps will dip too low for comfort for the reptiles, so I am considering setting all of them up in my office with a small space heater or something of the like.

Does anyone have any recommendations for specific brands or models? I’m a little paranoid about the safety of space heaters as I did have one catch fire on me many years ago (most likely due to user error, but still, scary).

A $40 Delongi or similar oil filled heater will do the job, do not get one that has one of those digital thermostat as they are prone to fail.

What you will need however is a reliable thermostat to plug it in, either from reptile basics or herpstat, thoss that are made for oil filled heater. https://www.spyderrobotics.com/index...mqptu94hq77ut7 , http://www.reptilebasics.com/thermos...e/ve-hi-power/

I have been running the same one for 8 years now without any issue and complete peace if mind.

    Re: Space Heaters

I would reinforce making sure the thermostat is made for the watts of a space heater. I originally had one plugged into a regular thermostat and continued to blow the fuse. It would work solidly for a while then blow.
