It's laminate chip bourd... Standard Viv material.
The alloy was held in place by 3 grub screws in little plugs and glue it seems.... Not good for any snake over 4' imo.
Yep he busted it, glad it happened and we knew immediately.

Wow, that's a wild story in the middle of the night. Good thing you had cage space.

It makes you think it would be a good Idea to have a tub ready to put a critter in incase of an emergency.

    Re: My 6' boa escaped!!!

Glad things worked out the way they did. This is another reason I cringe when I see some people making Vivs out of cheap stuff from Lowe’s. Snakes are nothing but a solid muscle. If it is it made out of hard wood by someone that knows what they’re doing or 1/2” PVC I won’t touch it. My Boaphile i bought used cracked like nothing. I think its less than 1/4” and weighs nothing. It was only going to be temporary until I got another AP but i wasted $300 in the end. Ive made metal braces for it now and its sturdy so it will be used just while I’m cleaning the other snakes.
Again glad everyone and everything is all good
