Size Perspective.

Still avoiding a shot of my mug,

But I do have a couple handling shots of Jewel, the coastal carpet mutt. She's a touch over 7 feet, and has put on some size. She eats regularly now and her thickness has increased because of it.

I have heard some folks talk about carpets being slender and light bodied. While that is true in a sense, they are very capable of being heavy and thick while still being very healthy. There are even some giants out there in the wild.

Jewel, by most standards is average.



Its flavor of the day when picking a favorite in this collection, but Jewel is consistently the best handling snake here. She just seems "friendly".

5'10". I used to be 5' 11" but age/gravity and several sports related injuries keep making me shorter LOL!

If your jungle is young, it will most certainly grow thicker with age.

(And I hear ya on the shrinking thing!! I swear I was 5'9" once upon a time, but age and hockey injuries have beaten me down to 5'8", hahahaha. Back in 97 I had scouts telling me I was too small at 5'9" to play D-1 hockey, now I'm somehow shorter but a whole lot heavier, hahahahhaa).

I think the scouts were wrong! I'll bet you were fast as a cat and had endless endurance. I'm not sure if Granlund is the shortest player on the Wild, he's 5' 10" and he's always out on the ice and has excellent hustle.

Hahaha, I had some decent wheels, but I was a hard-nosed stay-at-home defenseman who loved to block shots and hit as often as possible. At the time the average height in the NHL was 6'1" and there was a trend towards bigger players. I would have been tossed around like a rag doll. There were definitely some guys my size in the league at the time, but they had exceptional skill sets and silky smooth hands. I had neither, hahahhaa...

But I digress, and won't further derail your thread, hahahaha

I know you have a good grasp on the carpet group. I really enjoy your collection, and wish I had another boa (BCC) and another carpet of some type, either Bredli or Brisbane coastal.

I've said it before, and I'll reiterate it. Boas and carpets cover ALL the bases for me. I love Wallace and am pleased I got him, but the foundation snakes here are the boa and carpet.
