    Re: Always wanted an Albino

Thank you, I will get some photos up once he gets here on Tuesday. Can hardly wait to see him in person. I’m not very patient so it’s a lesson in futility for me. Oh well, all that energy will be used in dialing in his new home and dreaming up the right name. I’ve never actually seen an Albino of anything so there’s that aspect of anticipation as well.

I know the feeling. Focus on getting everything dialed in, as you said, and he will be here in no time.

All albinos are different between different species. So if you've seen an Albino BP, it's the not the same as an albino Boa, etc. I can tell you he will be stunning!

Enjoy him in good health and make sure to let him settle in before handling. I know that's difficult, but with your care and G-D willing, he will live well over 20 years. You will have a long time to enjoy your new "nameless" guy.

At my age, things like patience should have been learned already but snakes really bring out the kid in me. I have not seen any breed as an albino, just pictures so I guess I’m really making this one out to be a really big deal. The time does go quick. My little girl just got her learners permit despite my feeling like we just brought her home as a newborn. Stay off the sidewalks, lol.
It’s really nice to have a place like this to share in the experience and learn. I have been on lots of forums like this for cars, cycling and so on. The people on this one are exceptional and the lack of flaming on each other is very appreciated. Seems like most forums people want to pound their chest and demand superiority. This supportive environment thing, you guys may be on too something.

It’s getting close, I have a tracking number and I’m ready. 24 hours and “ no name yet” will be here. I will do some unboxing pictures and maybe once I actually see him a name will come to mind. Until then I just want to make sure everything is ready, it is despite my over thinking all of the details.

I always think like that too on the naming.
my 11 yr old albino is called Kahlos because he’s a Kahl strain albino and my jungle albino is called Jim .never got round to naming my sunglow so we just call her sunglow
Fingers crossed all on time for you and don’t forget plenty of pics

    Re: Always wanted an Albino

Well he arrived. Lots of drama before though. Broken airplane phone calls and finally made. Very angry I might add.
10:30 came and went so I called Fed Ex and was rewarded with a sob story and a new delivery of tomorrow. Unacceptable and I voiced my displeasure. Really well I guess. He showed up relatively quickly after that.
I also called to inform the breeder Daniel Johnson at Treehouse Reptiles and he made some calls. Great guy btw and really healthy snake so far.
The snake was really cold coming out of his bag so I put him in a bin to warm up some before the enclosure. Hissed and stuck out a lot.
Anyway I got a couple pics but didn't want to give him any more stress so I'm letting him settle down and get acclimated.
Really a pretty snake and I hope the drama is over.
