i'm surprised this doesn't happen more open. they're bones seem so brittle to me. i mean snake skeletons look like they're made up of wishbone that can be easily snapped. it makes me wonder how many snakes live/lived in discomfort w/ broken ribs (or a broken jaws like brace face up there) that were completely unknown and untreated by their owners.
