My first interface with a snake was watching my Father shoot a snake with a 22 magnum. That was imprinted in me and for many years I killed a lot of snakes. Most of which I am sure were non venomous. I was ambivalent towards exotic pet snakes.

Fast forward many years. My daughter went off to college and left me her BP in about the worst set up ever and no instructions on care.

I almost cooked that poor snake to death. Upon nursing it back to health we connected and bonded. That’s when a responsible snake lover was born.

    Ignorance can be corrected.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

What an amazing transformation! Ironic how someone who killed thousands of snakes to end up being a lover of them all. Your last quote was very inspirational
My best friend is a cat.

I'm with RS on this. The more you learn about various species, the more many look like they would be rewarding to own. We live in a small house, and are OUT of space. Nevertheless, there are several more species I would like to own: A couple of garters, a Texas Cribo, one of the locality boas, the Russian rat...
