Ranting a bit.... Some people!
So the guy I got Lucy from has another large RTB that is over 8 feet. When I got Lucy she was in bad shape. Missing chunks from live feedings. Dehydrated, and infested in mites. Why do people get these animals and then treat them this way?

b/c those dummies care more about their image of having a "cool" animal rather than the animal itself IMO.

I think some people leap with out looking or research, maybe realized Rainbow was a lot more work than they originally thought if there was any thought at all, I seen normal reticulated pythons sell as low as fifty dollars which makes it look like it could be a beginner species but if you do any kind of research you know it's not true, Rainbow is fat and happy now let's hope one day people will learn to not stumble into owning any animal eyes wide shut..

So far my experience with large pythons and boas (the females anyway) it that they are supper chill and easy to care for when compared to some of the smaller species. Sure it means larger enclosures and larger prey items. Just will never understand neglect of any animal. Lucy was the 5ft RTB I rescued and Rainbow is the Retic I purchased and love her so much.
