How do you know if you are...

    A Poop Magnet?

A few weeks ago... Figment. The hypolavendar corn POOPED all over me. I'm talking from my hair down to my toes... Everywhere.

Two days later... Solana poops right on the towel I put on my lap after dakski made fun of me and told me that she would "never poop on me" and that I was being ridiculous.

I've had Ezzy (Esmeralda) for less than a week... and guess what.....

    YUP MORE POOP.

So either I'm a poop magnet or I am scaring the you know what out of the reptiles.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yep, definitely been there, done that. My corn snakes are more prone to it than the others...always have towels nearby if not a towel on my lap. Pet birds are prone to it as well. When they gotta go, they gotta go.

Bottom of the page and next page.

    It it was tragic.

However, Sunshinewalker has taken it all in stride.

I was sitting next to her when Ezzy dropped one.

It was close, but I avoided getting poop on me .

Almost had PTSD like Sunshinewalker. Poop Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

No disrespect to those suffering from real PTSD, especially those serving or have served our country. Thank you.

Anyone who has kept a few snakes for a while has likely been pooped on. Funniest one for me was a rosy boa that decided to hide inside my shirt, & I thought it was so
charming until suddenly there was this moisture going down my back...& this was a mega-dump too! At least my shirt mostly contained it...

But the way to avoid most such incidents is to first look at their vent (aka cloaca) & if it's puffy-looking just above the vent, it's getting near time they have to go.
And handling or crawling around just facilitates things for a snake, since their body is shaped like a tube & all motion effects that part of their body.

Strangely this works on the human species too... a great number of my patients also have the sudden need to go when I get them up and walking... I won't share any of those poop stories though.... This is a family site right???

Well you have to admit, it's a LOT easier to check a snake first... I think you're just out of luck with humans, & with humans you're fighting gravity too.

Some of the others have heard this before, but I'll share again.

I swear my BP, Tyson HATES the Red Sox. I have been pooped/peed on a grand total a 4 times since getting back into the hobby a few years back. ALL Tyson and ALL while wearing Red Sox clothes. Once he was chilling in the hood of my favorite Sox hoodie and smelled it before I felt it, then I felt the warm liquid running down my back...
Another was in the front pocket of the same hoodie!!!

Safe to say....if I'm wearing Sox gear and Tyson is coming out I change before I grab him, now....

Sense we talking poop stories, I haven’t had the liberty ofbeing pooped on but I did see Hollow take a nice smash on my lil brother onetime...
He was chilling, wrapped around Chris neck; he had a nicepink hoodie on and just got a haircut. Showing off with his big spider malewrapped around his neck… about 20 mins into him being there.. “ooohhh $h!t… he’speeing…”… but wait there’s more…. So while hollow is squeezing Chris neckpeeing on him, im grabbing a rag... yes, then came the poop!
I had to give Chris a new shirt and a towel… he needed ashower after that rain dance Hollow put on him.. lmfao! Super funny. O, and itwas like 20 ppl at my house that day … so he was on everyone’s snap
