    Redbone Coonhound (for Ken!)

Here is an old pic I just happen to have in a temp folder on my webserver. She's a great dog. When we went looking for a dog we started at the local shelters and amazingly enough this little gem was at one of them! I had never seen one in person before but knew we had to have her when I saw that beautiful red coat! She was abused so we had to work with her quite a bit and she still flinches from time to time or cowers. You can see in the pic she has break in her tail we think from a door maybe from her previous/original owners. We have had her almost 4yrs now. I have some great pics someplace but she is definately a snuggler! I have pic her in my office of her sprawled on the couch using two pillows for added comfort HAH!

I like watching her and my wife's little JRT play, her dog thinks she is bigger but my girl usually lays the smack down by pinning the JRT to the ground by her ears...its a funny sight to see.

P.S. I don't like to cable her but we had to for the first while as she would take off running around town when she got the chance...always came back but couldn't take the risk of her doing it again when she almost got hit once. She does good now going from the house to the fenced in back yard or vice versa.

Ah, thank you for the pic. I love Redbones. Had one as a kid. She was an awesome dog, who often slept on the couch with her head on a pillow.

    Thanks again.
