    What is your favorite species?

Yep, for me it is easy. Love reticulated pythons! My keeping them has been a great adventure. Everything from pulling teeth to sharing the love with kids and others around me. Even a bite or two in there. So beautiful! Intelligent. Interactive. Yes there are challenges but man I love these guys. I do like others but If I had to pick a favorite, retics would be top of my list.

You don't have to own your favorite to pick it. Looking forward to seeing what people bring to the table.

Re: What is your favorite species?

I love all my critters but the carpet pythons are my favorite. I like medium-large sized snakes and carpets fill the bill perfectly. All mine are pretty mellow, they almost always eat, they're fun to handle, they display well, and the husbandry is fairly simple. What more can you ask for in a snake?
    3.0 Carpet Pythons, 1.1 Bullsnakes
1.0 Olive Python 1.0 Scrub Python,
    1.0 BI, 0.1 BCO

You can probably tell from my 'name' that I really love Trans Pecos rat snakes, but I have to admit it's a toss-up between them & "rattle-brats". The first are
awesome & mellow pets, admittedly easier for anyone to live with, while the latter requires an extensive explanation that I won't supply just now.

Generally? Cats. Just cats all day long.

In the reptile hobby? Favorite for taming and handling is the beardie. Favorite to work with is my king, but my new woma is quickly winning 2nd place. Great feeders + super docile = awesome pets.

My favorite would have to be Bitis gabonica and second would be Ophiophagus hannah. Both of which I will not be keeping.

Boas. BCI, BCC, doesn't matter really. I just love that whole genus and think they are exquisitely beautiful, interesting snakes.

No offense to my homie Syd, though. She's a cutie and I adore her too. But as a whole, I like boas more than I like ball pythons. Individually, she's my favorite snake I've ever had.

    - Summer

    0.1 Bearded Dragon ("Reka")
    0.1 California Kingsnake ("Cleo")
0.1 Cinnamon Spider Het. Albino Ball Python ("Syd")
    1.0 Hypo Bredl’s Python (“Oz”)
