So I went to an expo.....

I had no plans to buy anything at my first reptile expo. However I'd been set on the idea of getting a Carpet Python as my second snake eventually. Working with Rei has given me the addiction....

Anyway I had no plans to buy anything. Until I came across a local Carpet breeder.

    Then there were two.....

    This is Mosaic,

She's a Coastal from a clutch hatched this year. I don't have a lot of photos right now. I er, might of just picked her up on Saturday, not trying to bother her too much rn.

Lets just say I'm thrilled to have obtained another one of my desired snakes.

Re: So I went to an expo.....

Congrats on a great addition! That's a very nice looking coastal. They're my favorite Morelia ssp. You just did yourself a huge favor . Carpets are AWESOME snakes to keep. They get to be a decent size but not too big, they're beautiful display animals, the husbandry is pretty easy, and they typically eat very well. They spend time on the ground and a lot of time in the trees. They're probably the perfect snakes if you ask me. Looking forward to more pics as your critter grows.

My new phone came in today and I was able to get a nice shot of her that isn't 50% blurry.

She's just been chillin' at the top there for about a day.

    Well done.

Coastal Carpets and boas are excellent foundation animals.

I branched off and got a retic, but if I were to add two more snakes here, my carpet and boa would have a boyfriend and girlfriend.

Love carpets and agree with everything Ziggy said.

You can’t go wrong with carpets. After they get past that I will bite the world stage they are great. They almost always eat. They are almost bulletproof. I’m kinda out growing my ball pythons.

So I've had her for five days.
Its Rei's feeding day, so I decided to offer Mosaic a meal as well.

She ate! I'm so proud of her. Excellent feeding response as well. She even coiled on my tongs before slipping off lol.
    I'm so happy.
