Eggs...

Well, I was cleaning out the enclosure today, pulled out the humid hide and underneath were two little eggs. I've got them resting in vermiculite (I think that's what it's called?) in a little container with airholes and it's damp. I don't know how long ago she (Wilson) had these, but they are fairly oval shaped, almost like a football. They seem larger than some that I've seen that are just layed, but I haven't seen any up close, so I don't know. Anything else I need to do?

nope, just incubate at room temperature in moist substrate. i personally use perlite at a ratio of 2 parts perlite to slightly more than 1 part water. i'm not sure about the vermiculite as i don't use it, but just make sure that it isn't wet. you don't want to be able to squeeze any water out of it. these first two eggs (if they are her first) may or may not be fertile--it is common for the first clutch they lay to be infertile so don't worry if they start to mold or cave in. in a couple of weeks you will most likely have more to add to the incubator anyhow. good luck!
