    Komodo thermostat

Many apologies if this is the wrong place for this subject. I have a Komodo thermostat that appears to be working - the light comes on and goes off periodically - yet the heat mat eventually ends up cold after the thermostat working correctly for several hours. Has anyone experienced this or know what might be wrong? If I plug the heating mat directly into the power extension it heats but, of course, the temps can't be regulated.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Where is your probe and what temperature do you have it set for?

I have it taped onto the heat mat and set at 90F.

What are you using to check your temperatures?
I'm not familiar with that brand but operation should be the same as any other. You may have a bad one.
Have you tried setting it hotter too see what happens?

    Quick google search.
Most all of the bad reviews are for the thermostat probe malfunction.
Probably might think of spending some cash on a better quality unit.

    Re: Komodo thermostat

I've ordered a Habistat and waiting for that to come. Seems to be a probe issue. I had it set to 100F then 85F and it did the same. I'll throw this one out when the new one arrives.
