Stupid question about spiders...
I went to our local reptile show a few weeks ago with a friend, who has now become very interested in bps. She asked me a question this morning and I can't for the life of me remember the answer.
Friend: "If the spiders wobble, does that mean any snake with a spider parent or grandparent wobbles, or just the ones that look like that?" (pointing to a calico spider on my phone)...my brain shut off.
Me: "Uhhhhh, yes. Wait, no?? Hummm...I don't remember. Let me get back to you"
So do only visual spiders/bees/etc have the wobble or combo with a spider gene visual or not?
The clutch I was showing her was from a bumblebee x sugar pewter and resulted in what look like: 2 bees of some kind, a sugar spider, and two pewters. So would the pewters also potentially have the wobble even though they lack any visual hint that their dam was a bee.
------
How many generations back do genes matter anyway - I never hear anything about multiple generations when looking at morphs. Is that even a factor in breeding bps?

Re: Stupid question about spiders...
Only snake with a wobble gene will wobble. So if you breed a spider the normal babies will not have wobble and the spider babies will have wobble so genetics only matter in the snake that you have not in its parentage for something like wobble

Only the spider or spider combo in a clutch will wobble/spin to a degree this can go from mild to severe, change over time and be affected by stress, excitement or temperatures.
Slight wobbler can produce severe wobbler and vice versa.
The vast majority of spider thrive just like any other BP.

My blackbee mojave orange ghost girl doesn't wobble at all, but knowing my luck her future offspring will be little helicopters.

ok cool. that's what I thought, just visual combos can have to effect. I didn't want to give out the wrong information though. Thanks
