    Bumblebee ball python color

Hello, I am thinking which morph to get next and was in love with bumbleebee ball python. As baby their color is beautiful but I realized that their color darkens as they age. I know a local breeder that I bought last ball from, has bumblebee female. I was talking to him about how they darken up so I lost interest in bumblebee but then he told me his bumblebee didn’t darken up much. The picture I posted is hatchling and the other one is parent of the hatchlig. Parent kept yello color, and I was wondering if it would be killerbee but he said its bumblebee. What do you guys think? Hatchling is from bumblebee bred to pastel.

Addition to that, the clutch consisted of pastel, bumblebee, normal, spider. No killerbee came out. Does this prove that the parent is bumblebee instead of killerbee? People say adult bumblebee never has fully yellow color but that one seems to have full color..

It could be it doesn't have the reduced head pattern and washed out coloring of a killer bee (from what I seen super pastel seems to do both things) good looking noodles for sure

What I am confused about is, all people I see online say bumblebee ball python will brown out for sure and they will barely have any yellow color. However, that one has full yellow, and no sign of browning out. Rare bumblebee I guess? That is why I am leaning towards that baby since her parent had nice color, so she might too? haha.

I don’t think that picture of the parent is of the parent as an adult. Still looks juvenile to me. However, it does have pretty good color retention regardless.

Here’s my adult bumblebee. These pics are a little older but he’s still an adult here. It’s actually hard to accurately get the color in the photos. He hasn’t browned out much at all, only around the black markings a bit. Although, after shed especially, he is still extremely bright yellow! I hope this helps in your decision. Personally I love mine Also some people worry a lot about head wobble with these guys. With mine he’s only displayed it twice since I’ve owned him, only when he strikes and misses. Since a baby though he has been a super strong eater and hasn’t had any health issues. All-in-all I definitely recommend bumblebees

Beautiful snake! Love the high white and the brightness of his coloring.

What kind of background do you have in his enclosure? It looks nice.

A lot depends on the quality of the Pastel used. They can brown to some degree. I had a male a couple years ago that everyone here said I was crazy for selling. He was almost 2000g and as bright as day 1.
I still have several keepers from him.

Like Pit said, but I would add that your best chance for retaining the yellow is going to be a killer bee.
Honest, I only need one more ...
