I’m so sorry for missing your post philllydubs. No my girl will probably stay the same color she is now, if not a bit brighter. Retic’s get better with age. However my girl will probably end up the size of the one I have posted. I had a chance to hold a mainland of the same age two weeks ago. You can really see and feel the difference between the two side by side. I could tell they are made up very differently. However, I know she want be my last one. I’m more than likely going back shopping at Reach out reptiles for another female at the first of the year.

I just wanted to share a picture of my little one. She's grown a bit since last year. She's now a year old and she's a puppy dog as long as it's not feeding day otherwise she loves to hang out.

Still I would suggest that you shouldn't be surprised if she eventually gets to be 11-12 feet long.

Still to have a dwarf retic which is only the size of large carpet python is pretty awesome. Congrats.

She looks great. Keep that relationship going. It seams feeding day is huge for most retics. LOL. Sounds like your experience with a dwarf is going to be much different than mine with a mainland. Both the females I have now, from age 2-3 seams to be a big growing year. Rainbow almost doubled her length (6 feet to 13 feet) and Aurora has grown from last year and in 6 month (got her at age 2.5 got her in November last year I think) has gone from 5 feet to almost 8. I am looking forward to seeing the growth of your girl the next year or 2 for comparison.

She's looking great Hawk! It's nice that she has a sweet disposition too. Who wants a big snake with a bad attitude?

I’m curious about her growth in the next year or two as well. I’m following Garrett Harttle’s advice on feeding. So far it’s worked out well, I just watch her body condition, with the idea that she should look like a retic in the wild and not a pet Burmese python. For now I’m using her as a show and tell for everyone that’s curious or for those that are fearful of snakes. She goes to the barbershop with me every once in a while the little kids and some big kids enjoy her. I’m doing a back to school program this weekend and she will be one of the stars of the show. I think retics are so cool to work with. You just have to pay attention to them. As I’ve learned they are always paying attention to us. I’m hoping she ends up about eight or ten feet as she will be pretty cool for the educational shows I want to do.
