    Scale rot?? Early stages

So two of my ball pythons (a small normal that's almost 2 and an ivory that's 1) I noticed today that they each have a few very small spots of yellowish dried up scales, and under their chins a few scales were like peeling? I'm not really sure at first I thought it was leftover shed but I'm worried now because I don't think it is. I did some reading and it looks kind of like the very early stages of scale rot. Cages were all cleaned today before I discovered this, and I'll try to keep the humidity in check more, it's usually around 50 but both of these snakes like going under their water bowl and sometimes dumping water out and maybe that could've been a contributing factor? I don't know. I put neosporin on both of them on the spots that looked like they could potentially be infected. Is there anything I else I can do short of going to a vet? I'm hoping that I caught it early enough that I can help it before it gets to that point.
    Thank you!

If it's minor like a few scales there is no need for any treatment, just keep the animal dry and on paper towel and it will clear after shed

Anti-biotic ointments need to be used carefully and short term and not at if if unnecessary as they can loosen up scales.
