    Woma Python

Have a few questions on Woma pythons.

    1. Has anyone noticed a difference in temperament between males and females? Is one more defensive than the other.
    2. Those who have more then one what is the average length of female and male woma pythons?

    Thanks.

I have 3, 2 females one Male all unrelated but from the same breeder. All 3 are within a few weeks of age and are about 3 years old. The Male is the most docile however none of them are aggressive or defensive, the two females just have an absolutely stupid feeding response that makes them a handful. All 3 are about 48" long.
In my opinion the attitude is more of an individual thing and unrelated to gender. Size also is unrelated to gender. In the wild it is dependent on local however in the U.S. there are no pure locality specific bloodlines so here at least that is not a factor.
    Hope this helps.

I have a male and a female and both of them are just the sweetest snakes ever and a total joy to watch and handle. Neither one of them have ever shown any signs of aggression or defensiveness. They say that there isn't sexual dimorphism in Woma Pythons, but my female has always been way bigger than my male for some reason. It is said that Womas can reach up to 8 1/2', but 4' - 6' is definitely much more common. Mine are only about a year old, so they still have a lot of growing to do...
