Shedding question

Do kings/milks take longer to shed than BP's? Eeden is just in the corner, on top of the bedding on the warm side still. He has moved a little but. It much. How long does a shed take for these guys. I'm a little worried.

I keep loads of different types and haven't noticed any pattern ..

Thing is they kinda fade in colour and eyes glaze over plus they hide away for a few days ... then as soon as their eyes clear and colour returns I start increasing the humidity by spraying a few times daily .. this is particularly appreciated by Royals / Retics/ Burns and Boas in my experience..

Kings don't need quite as high humidity but I still give them a quick spray ..

After the colours return and eyes clear they 'normally' shed the skin within the next 7 days ...

Please remember that while this snake looks (& probably feels) 100% better than when you got him, his body is still on the mend: shedding 'takes' from
the body, so while there is no difference that I know of for how long various kinds of snakes take to shed, there is most definitely a difference between the
time a healthy well-developed snake takes and one that is still recovering from neglect. Patience, don't sweat it.

And if you fed him (accidentally or otherwise) as the shed cycle was coming on, that would for sure slow it down. This is one snake that I'd avoid offering
food to while he's in shed.

I wouldn't sweat it. Django is usually 10-12 days from when I notice his belly get cloudy to actual shed.

But, of course, every snake will be a bit different. He'll shed when he's ready. No need to worry.

Crap. I fed him while in shedon thursday. He took two fuzzies. He was due to eat today. I didn't feed because he hasn't really moved so I thought I better not.

I wouldn't worry ...Kings are generally pretty much bombproof ...everything will be fine

I wouldn't worry about that at all. Django eats in shed every time.

Oreo eats in shed, out of shed, anything and everything she can find and when she finds it. I only offer weekly but geez she eats aggressively! Love that girl. She was healthy when I got her though and has been kept healthy in my care. I know your is a rescue and I commend you on that.

I'm feeding every four days but tomorrow will be 7 since he is in shed still. Should I feed anyway? Seems like 7 days is a long stretch for him.

I would wait to feed & not make him multi-task. He's fine...
