    Popping Hatchlings

I'm not going to lie... I've watched about a dozen videos and I still don't feel like I can do it. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I tried practicing on some 250-350 gram juveniles but I clearly don't get it. I feel like my technique isn't too far off and I'm wondering if maybe I'm just being overly gentle because I'm afraid of hurting them. I'm generally way more gentle with my snakes than I see other breeders handle theirs. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

You need to have someone show you in person, videos are great to get an idea however proper finger placement as well as how much pressure really need to be apply is something you get a better feel for if someone shows you are.

Most common mistake, people do not apply enough pressure.

Second they do not place their finger where they need to be often to close to the cloaca (for the fingers that need to be placed on the tail)

I agree with Deb. Find someone local to show you

2nd part is no one ever shows you what happens when they mess it up, just my 2 cents as i am a youtube/ google king when it comes to taking care of my babies. but trial an error are what the forum is for and we thank you all for it
