    Missing shed?!

My Leeloo was super milky just 3 days ago. I just checked on her and she's clear as day and her colors are vibrant, yet I don't see her she'd anywhere in the tank. It's like it magically disappeared. Anyone have any idea what might have happened?

    Hi,

They clear up again before they shed - make sure your humidity is on point and you should get a shed in a day or two.

    Re: Missing shed?!

Are you sure she shed? Their eyes clear up normally a few days before they shed, so most likely she just hasn't shed yet.
(Sorry, didn't see the post above mine saying the same thing lol)

Haha. I remember when I first experienced this. I actually thought he might have eaten his shed.

One funny thing I've seen a few snakes do with their sheds, seriously, is to decide to go back in (& going the 'wrong way' LOL!) silly sneks! I had a king
snake that did this and actually got stuck...I waited a while to see if she could deal with it by herself before I finally helped her out. But I've never seen one
eat their sheds...they go back to "clear" so convincingly, you two aren't the only ones to think that.

Thing to do when their eyes clear up and they get their colour back is to spray the viv / rub well morning , evening and inbetween if possible on a daily basis until you find the shedded skin - you generally find Royal skins under one of the hides in a horrible messy lump a few days later .

Thays one way to put it, usually sitting in a puddle of urine and poop as well. But hey, if you get to it quick enough, you get yourself a pretty snakeskin! Good luck, you need to be fast!
