If you're putting that much thought into it, buy one and don't look back. Learn with it, and enjoy it - that's my take.

I agree IF/WHEN you're confident you've done enough research and you know you can provide the proper husbandry, equipment, time and effort needed.
If that's the snake you want, get your setup up and running, start speaking with reputable breeders and when the time is right...go for it.
