    Weird noise from crestie..

Hey! So, Bea (my adult male crestie) was sitting in his favorite place in his tank, and I opened the cage doors and kinda pet his head and his back lightly when I just put his new food in. Well, when I was petting him he kinda jerked and made a squeaking noise?? It sounded kinda like a rubber duck. It startled me, I waited a couple seconds and pet him again and he did it again! What does this mean? I thought maybe I made him mad? Ive never heard this from him or my other crested. His temp is usually 79-81, and humidity between 65-70%. Hes eating a mix of Pangea banana papaya and bug mix. He used to LOVE crickets but when I changed him to dubias hes not too big a fan. He's... I wanna say 24g? I haven't noticed any obvious changes in behavior. Thanks

Gecko will "bark" it's not common but if you piss them off enough they will, they will even bite.

When they do that it's your cue to back off and leave him alone.

Sounds like a warning "protest". Hard to be taken "seriously" when you're this cute. Your "baby" is growing up opinionated, lol.

    Re: Weird noise from crestie..

Haha cool thank you guys! I figured he was just angry I woke him up lol. I was a bit worried maybe he got hurt and was sensitive where I touched him, but he's acting just fine so I think he just got a bit annoyed

"I am GECKO, hear me roar!" It's so hard to be taken seriously when you sound like a rubber ducky...
