Black locust bow with pastel BP sheds

Here’s another bow I finished up recently. It’s made of black locust with vine maple tip overlays. It pulls 53# at 27” draw. I put a decorative backing from the sheds of my pastel female BP.

    Thanks for looking,
    Kyle

Re: Black locust bow with pastel BP sheds

Thanks! I love how it came out and how it shoots. It throws a 625gr arrow about 150fps. Not too bad for a straight piece of wood with no reflex. It’s enough oomph to cleanly pass take anything in North America.
It took about 8 hours or so. Spread out over a month or two. I’d just puddle on it for an hour or two every week or two. I would be working on others in the meantime. The sheds are fun to put on. And I’m slowely getting them figured out so there are fewer and fewer air bubbles. I love incorporating my 2 main hobbies together like that.
