Nice pics. I love the contrast between direct light and indirect light. Feliz is the same way.

    Looking good! Keep us posted.

    Beautiful!
My buddy just had a litter today.

    I’m wishing I had room here. ☹️

    I’ll live vicariously through you.

Re: 2018 Male Rio Bravo Pokigron Suriname Red Tailed Boa Constrictor Progression

    Thanks y’all!

Dakski, post up some sunlight photos of Feliz when it gets cool enough outside for him. These pics were with the blinds open in my snake room and may have shown better colors than direct, outdoor sunlight though.

If it’s any solace, Gio, your Barranquilla boy is on another level of boa rarity. For those with a critical eye, Barranquilla boas are just as impressive in their own regard as any true red tail. And in fact are harder to come by than a lot of the true red tails from what I can deduce in my modest couple years of keeping boas. I still wish you could snatch up a pokigron suri though. Ask your buddy to hold one back on visitation rights for you

No real updates aside from moving up to small rats now. Leonard just being one stud of a Surinam Boa. Seems to have put on some decent size this spring/summer. A sturdy 3’ or slightly larger now.

Great looking boa! These boas just keep getting better as they age...

Is this stud from Russo or someone else?

Thanks man! Got him from a hobbyist breeder, but the sire was produced by Gus Renfro in 2013 and the dam is from Rio Bravo bloodlines as well produced by Chris Wolfe in 2011.

That was probably his daddy's first time... (my male wasn't mature until he was 6).

If the female was mature in 2011 (likely her first time) she had to be an F1, almost certainly from the first litter of those wild boas in 2006 ...which would make his mom a sister to my old girl.
