it was quick! I’m trying to keep our ha sling sessions to a short time until he gets a little more used to me.

Damian has eaten a FT rat for me tonight for the first time. It took a few tries but it was a success. I had to scent the rat with a thawed mouse and get it extra warm for him. He had struck and coiled but left the rat twice.. I read that may be due to it being too cool.. I put the rat under the blow dryer a few extra seconds and really focused the heat on its head. Damian instantly struck, coiled and ate it. I opened the tub to check on him and he still looks hungry! Im not going to feed him again because he is about 170 grams and ate a 20gram rat so he should be fine.. Hoping he settles to his hide to digest.. I am beyond excited to have him switched to not only FT but FT rats!
