    Should I try to feed?

Hi, I picked up an adult female ball python yesterday from one of my co-workers that is moving and can't take her. My co-worker said that she fed her last Sunday and that I could try feeding her today. I was wondering if someone had advice on if I should wait a bit more for her to get more accustomed to her new environment, or go a head and offer her food?

    welcome to the forum!

your snake is likely a bit stressed from moving into a new environment; i'd give them at least 7 days to relax and get used to their new home.

If she stayed in the same environment, give her a week. If you moved to a new setup, give her 2. In any case don't be worried if it doesn't feed right away.

And welcome to the forum. I'm glad you were able to take in this snake & are trying to do the right things for her, including asking good questions.

Thanks I've done a lot of research in anticipation, and I figured the answer would be to wait being that she probably won't eat...but I wanted to ask if I should be giving her the option. Just wanting to do what's best for her
