Zerkle Reptiles Co on Facebook sells them and I think they have some hatchlings available now or are expecting.

    Rhino ratsnake questions.

I have a 60 month old male ... very interesting in my opinion as they're seemingly awake / active 24/7 !
He's stunning display animal plus very slow moving , friendly and calm when handled . His viv is full of branches and he spends 90% of the time lying / resting / sleeping in them . I've even stuck a small heat mat ( thermostat regulated ) on the outside of the (glass) viv just above half way up the back panel . He tends to lean against it . There's also a larger thermostat regulated heat mat UNDER the viv where he spends a little time . There's a small drinking water bowl plus a good sized bowl of water where he enjoys the occasional soak
Oddly enough more often than not he eats his mouse IN or UNDER water but I've no idea if that's usual or just him

Thank you. what a gorgeous creature.

do you find it as difficult as people make it out to be to keep his humidity and everything right? have you had any issues with his scales or him not eating?
if you don't mind, where did you get him?

No issues at all with humidity, the glass viv even has a mesh lid .
I use Orchid bark as the substrate and spray occasionally - he soaks himself for a while every week or so but as I said he even likes eating in the water . On feeding day if he's soaking I simply dangle the mouse on tongs into the water and he eats underwater- don't know if they all do this .

Bought from a breeder in the UK

They used to have a basic web page, but it seems to be defunct. Their contact information isn’t listed on their Facebook page (search for Zerkle Reptile Co), and I don’t have their phone number from talking to Amy a couple-few years ago about my husband’s VBB.
