Solana is due to shed any minute now. She pooped today and I cleaned her tank and weighed her. She's a solid 38G. I've been feeding 5-7G fuzzies and I should probably bump up to 7-9G fuzzies, or at least pick some bigger ones out of the bag. They are going down super easy and she's growing much slower now.

Either way, she is growing, and she looks awesome. I cannot wait to see her after this shed. I will definitely post pictures.

Awwww, thank you! Solana is certainly a looker! She's got personality to boot! I told Don Soderberg, from South Mountain Reptiles, where I bought her, that I think she's part Boa, she's so chill. He says "it's genetically impossible." That may be true, but her sister Behira seems to be rubbing off on her a little bit then.

We do have some beautiful, and rare animals, and we've added some amazing ones of late, anticipating we are, or are very close, to full up. However, we love them all, and do not love the less expensive, or "less" beautiful ones any different. They all have a place in our hearts.

They say once Corn snakes are on fuzzy's, they really start to pack on the weight. Fuzzy's have much more nutritional value than pinkies and are also bigger meals. "They" aren't kidding.

Solana was 28G at the beginning of October, 2018. Now, at the end of November, 2018, two months later, dry, she's a whopping 44G! She's not only longer, but she's getting much thicker. No more tiny little snake. Now, she's still a little thing, especially compared to everyone else in the house. However, she's not tiny anymore and certainly not so delicate.

At 50G she goes to small hoppers! I cannot believe it! Wow. We got her 5 months ago, at 2 months old, and 8G! "Tear," our baby is growing up!

Anyway, we spent some quality time bonding today, just me and her. Still such a sweet girl. Got some pictures, unfortunately with the iPhone only, but still, pictures. Enjoy.

So true, fuzzies really help them grow up...that's why some kinds of snakes that start off really tiny seem to take forever to size up, but once they get off pinkies,
look out. But hey, they're only little "once"...enjoy while it lasts.

My mother came over today and saw Solana for the first time in a couple of months, or since she was 28G or so (now 44G). I got a video of my mom holding Solana and being calm as can be, as usual.
