    Maintaining Ambient Temperature (Tub Setup)

I know this might seem stupid to the experienced but I've learned its best to ask then learn by error. This will be my first BCI and i plan on keeping him in my apartment starting with a 32qt tub using a heat mat and thermostat with coconut husk for bedding. My problem is that my apartment tends to stay around 70F. I know these guys need no lower than 75F for ambient temperature with 80F being preferred. Is it possible to reach these ambient temps with said setup?

Using a PVC enclosure for my boa, I get ambients of 77-79 with nothing more than a UTH. Room temp always 70-72. The simplest thing to do is make sure you have a decent digital indoor/outdoor thermometer (or 2 single digital thermometers) and test it out before the baby comes home
