    Herpastat 1-3

Hello everyone, I’ve been looking at these thermostats for a few weeks and I don’t know which one to get. I’ll be heating 2-4 snakes but I don’t know which one to get. I see people using one to heat multiple tubs and stacks. I don’t know which one to get though. If anyone has any insight on these that would be helpful

If you are going to be using a single rack with identical size tubs and one heat source, then you can use H1. If you are going to have multiple enclosures of varying sizes with separate heating elements, then you'll want one that has multiple probes like a H4.

Herpstat 4 for 2-4 snakes, unless in a rack system.

If your budget allows, go with the Herpstat 6.

If you plan on adding to your collection, chances are you'll eventually be able use all 6 controllers. The Herpstat 6 is a much better value at $73/controller compared to $85/controller for the Herpstat 4.

Yea I really don’t plan on going pass 3 or 4. I just know I see people using one herpstat to control multiple enclosures so I figured I would get on for that since I plan on having 3 or 4 snakes.

    For how many snakes though?

I know I’m using a zilla thermostat and I don’t like how it’s operating. But it says “ it can take up to three heating sources which is why I bought it. But now I see I need something more proven

I've got the Herpstat 2 red line and absolutely love it. I heat a RHP with one channel, Retic and flexwatt on another, Blood. In hindsight I probably should have gotten at least a Herpstat 4 because now I'm eyeballing a SSTP and either ATP or GTP. I too thought I'd only be getting one snake to satisfy my desire to own a snake again.
