    Receptive Female maybe?

I just introduced two first time animals just out of curiosity as to how they would act. Both animals are virgins and both are just big enough to possibly breed. The male is at 650 grams and the female is 1520. The scardy cat male shot to the back of her cage and huddled up in a corner immediately. The Female was in a nice coil at front of tub when I put him in but now she has flung her tail over the water bowl with it hanging out in the area of cage that he is in.
Do you think the male is just a shy boy or the female is an anxious girl or neither. I found it pretty comical that she flopped her tail into his end of her tub as if saying....."Here it is!!"

how are they doing today? i think they're young and inexperienced esp. the boy. (tho smaller 400gram males have been known to breed) it also sounds like she might be tail wagging and scenting. give them time.

    what's the pairing BTW?

Only once today did I see them with tails laying beside each other but they definately were not locked. I peeped in just a couple min ago and they are not really touching each other but not on opposite sides of the bin either. I will probably remove him tomorrow for weigh in day and put him back in his tub for feeding day Sunday then possibly re-introduce them next week.

The pairing would be Coral Glow, YB, 100% het pied male x Mystic Potion, Orange dream girl

BTW this is the same female that I posted a while back about how fast she was gaining weight. Her hatch date was 10/25/16 so she is only about 1.5 yrs old
