    New Sand Boa

I'm back from the Tucson Reptile Show. It was really cool. My first time ever attending one. I was mezmerized by all the beautifully colored snakes and lizards. I took money with in hopes of finding a new hide for my BP and I came home with more than just the hide. ::grin:: My husband and I saw the cutest Kenyan Sand Boa for 30 bucks, so we bought him. He's approx. 6-7 inches long and 3 months old. We have him in a 10gal tank with a UTH and a 15w light above. The light is more for me than the snake. We also bought the SoftBed substrate made from all natural organic coconut husks. That stuff is really nice. Haven't thought of a name yet but will in the near future.

Once he's settled in I'll get some pictures of him to post here. He's the orange with black splotches. A friend of mine went with us and she got one that's yellow with black splotches for 30 and one that's white with black splotches for 100. I may try to get a second one at a later date. They are way too cool.

    Re: New Sand Boa

I have normal kenyan (orange with black spots), an anery (black/white) and a roughscale sand boa.

100 is actually a bit pricey for an anery.
