    My neighbor suposidly found this....

So my neighbor supposedly found this guy. Not sure what morph it is but I'm pretty sure it's a baby reticulated python. I removed him from the bucket he was in and putting it in the enclosure for now. He must have been hungry because he has a rat crawler right away. I'm guessing someone's pet that got away? He was easy to handle. I posted about him to all my neighbors. No one seams to be looking for this guy. Thoughts?

Yep, retic. Very likely escaped, that's a morph. Good capture.

Anyone move out of the area recently? It may have been left behind or turned loose, last week we ended up with a pretty little morph corn snake that had lived wild since last fall according to the prior owner's neighbors; she turned all her animals loose when she left.

It's young enough that it would have been produced in the last few months. Try posting pics on The Retic Nation on Facebook. Someone may recognize who bred it.

WOW!!! what a find! tell your neighbor to buy some lottery tickets!

definitely trying reaching out to your community somehow, as this has to be someone's pet. at least the snake is in good hands for now. did your neighbor have a plan for it?

Man that kind of thing makes me so mad.

What are you gonna do if you cant find the owner? I think retics are the the most beautiful snakes around but I personally dont want a snake to weigh more than me. Gonna keep it or try to rehome it?

Plan? Not sure yet. If nobody claims him by Friday will take him by my local pet store and have it sexed and go from there. I have Rainbow already. Not sure if I want a second large girl if it is a girl. Even boys can get decent size. Will make a plan Friday. Until then he is in a good enclosure and will be taken care of.
