    Pied coloring question

I've noticed that Clark's saddles are pretty prominently ringed in yellow. Is that typical of young pieds, where he'll brown/darken up as he gets older? Or could it be a sign of something else, like YB? He was sold as a normal pied, and I'm assuming that's what he is, but I'd like some additional feedback. I tried to get some decent pictures, but it's hard in our lighting, which is on the warm side. In person there's a definite distinction where most of his saddles are bordered by yellow.

    Thanks!

Thanks! Your guy looks awesome, too! I love the high whites. Here are a few more photos. We think he's the best no matter what, just curious about the yellow and what it might mean, if anything.

I'd say it's just a nice normal Pied. YB Pieds usually have a very pixilated pattern, especially around the edge of the saddles.

sorry, not a Pumpkin Pied (YB Pied). as Brandon mentioned, u are not just looking for coloring but pixelation. your Pied is high pattern and there should be more indicators if he were such. he is really cool tho.

Edit: hi Brandon! any cool projects and Pieds?

    Re: Pied coloring question

Thanks for the feedback and more info on YB pieds! He definitely doesn't have pixelated markings.

Hey there! Lots of Pied projects happening. Last year was probably the high point of breeding for us. We produced around 15-20 different Pied combos last year and sacrificed a few Pied girls to make new combos in the future. I rarely get time to get on here much so pics are posted on Instagram and Facebook.
