Petunia Progression Thread
I just felt the need to share.
I took my daughter to the New York Metro Reptile Expo in White Plains this past weekend. She has been doing such a great job caring for the 2017 Pastel Banana boy I gave her last summer that I had agreed to let her a find a girlfriend for him.
The second table we visited was Vin Russo of Cutting Edge Herps and her eyes immediately went to an Ultramel Jungle he had for sale. Fortunately for us, it was a girl. As much as I pushed my daughter to spend a little more time looking at all of the BPs that were for sale at the show, she said that this one "spoke to her". Vin let her handle the little girl and that was the end of our discussion. I managed to sneak a picture of her last night as she was roaming around her new home. The picture does not do justice to the beauty of her color and pattern.

Very nice looking, would eventually like to see a full picture after she settles in. Love the story, my 12 year old daughter is into the hobby a bit with me. It sounds like your helping your daughter though, way cool.

Re: Petunia Progression Thread
Here’s a slightly better picture my daughter took at the show.
To be honest, we didn’t know who Vin Russo was when we got our little girl. Having researched him when we got home, my daughter reminded me that she is a good judge of character.
Vin directed the entire conversation about Petunia to my daughter (who is 15) instead of me, which is something other adults fail to do. He understood that she was making the purchase even if I was paying the bill. LOL Even though we are both novices in this hobby he was generous with his time and answered all of our questions. All in all, a pleasure to do business with.

Re: Petunia Progression Thread
It’s been six months since we brought home our Ultra Jungle girl that we purchased from Vin Russo at the White Plains NY show. She recently switched from f/t mice to f/t rats and just finished another perfect shed (so time for pics). At 375 grams she is growing well and is now accustomed to being handled. She was pretty skittish when we brought her home. The only problem we have had is that she doesn’t like to strike her prey. She prefers to have her food served on a nearby rock and she picks it up from there at her leisure. Go figure.
