Shoot!...... going to have to buy one. Been shopping a while. I was trying to wait but I give up. So adorable! Yes I have read care sheets. start tossing me advice now. Are screen cages ok for cresties?

from my readings, yes they're okay but do need some adjustment to help trap humidity. so far i have not made adjustments to my 12x12x18 mesh top and it's doing well, tho it does get close to dropping below 50% if i don't pay attention. i'll be adding tin foil over one half in the next day or two.

crestie enclosures should be misted once or twice a day to jump that humidity to around 70-80%, then you allow it to fall throughout the day/night (not dropping below 50%).

Cresties are infamous for sleeping in all kinds of weird positions. The pangaea forum has a sticky thread dedicated strictly to photos of cresties sleeping in funny positions. Very cute!

Btw someone on my hermit crab forum recently got a crestie and was posting about it. She used frog moss as a substrate which I thought was BRILLIANT. Helps with humidity, looks great and I don't think there's any way ur crestie could accidentally swallow that stuff. I'm pretty set in my paper towel ways but thought u might be interested for your terrarium.

Also ps I double checked the thread and I gave u the wrong moss, it was actually zoomed sphagnum. I imagine frog moss might work too but spaghnum would be alot easier

photo dump from the past two days. he's found his magnetic ledge and seems to like it! i situated the big leaf plant i have in there so it gives him privacy there and i think he was thankful.

caught him fired up this am!
