Do you think there's any chance KRG might be polygenic?
Sorry for prying, I'd just like to understand the morph better.
First off, where are you hearing reports, lol! But yes. The last couple years I have produced KRG heavy clutches, some entire clutches. I don't think the gene is polygenic as much as it just might be good odds. I have a 14 egg clutch hatching now, KRG and KRG Yellowbellies. Most are KRG or KRG Yellowbelly combos.

Here's another Black Pewter KRG Lesser. Not as extreme as an expression as the previous one. The white comes up from the belly to the dorsal, just leaving color and pattern along the entire length of the back. Pretty cool.

I went digging for information on the internet. Most of what I found was on WoBP and old forum threads. It's really amazing the kind of odds you get with them. And considering that they make low white pieds, I'm surprised more breeders aren't working with the gene. I might want to consider adding it to my collection at some point.

A few more of our KRG hatchlings from the last few months. KRG het Pied on the left and Fire KRG het Pied on the right. The Fire KRG just keeps getting lighter and the contrast more intense. Note the headstamps, inverted "V", something most of my KRG have. Except when there is Pastel present.

KRG Lesser het Pied. This girl is Gorgeous! Love the blushing, the dark outlines around the pattern and the little circle with the heart in it.

Fresh skin! This is "Sybil" ( 70's movie about a girl with multiple personalities). Sybil is smokin hot, for a boy. Couldn't decide in the egg if he wanted to be Black Pastel, KRG, Lesser or Pastel, het Pied, so decided on all.

Those look great! I was thinking of picking one of those up a few months ago and working with it, you've definitely convinced me to enter into this one!
