    Cleaning rituals...

I just toss them in a Walmart plastic tote.
I clean when any of the snakes piss or poop.

I clean the tank completely as soon as a find any waste. I use paper towels for substrate. I spray it down with F10sd. Wipe out
any residue left behind with a damp towel. And have a small plastic locking tank to put them in during the cleaning process. 😉

    Cleaning rituals...

Since most of my snakes are good sized they are only a few feet away from trouble. Because of this I place them on the ski machine or bed bars. They usually get 5-10 minutes of exercise before climbing down, which is just about enough time to clean most times.

Besides, I just don’t have the room for a large tub.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I’ve used anti microbial hand wipes on the cage for years with no ill effects.

I clean the bowls with anti microbial soap and add bleach on every 3rd or 4th cleaning. Now if the snake messes in the bowl it’s automatic bleach and soap immediately, scrubbed thoroughly.

I used packing indented paper and it really works for me. Take it out. Wipe down with Clorox wipes dry and replace paper.

    sorry, been on vacay.

well the primary f10 that reptile suppliers like Bean Farm, RBI, etc. sell is f10SC which is aldehyde free. but yes, it's preferred b/c of all the things u mentioned. IMO there's nothing wrong w/ other anti-bacterial agents. it does the job and i use generic anti-bacterial soap on a weekly/monthly basis as needed. i use f10 to go the extra distance during deeper cleans. it's plenty safe (even the kind w/ aldehyde) using as directed like diluting it per directions which is like 1 part f10 per 100 water. it's not like you're drowning your herp in it. it's the same as anything else used to clean, disinfect, condition (i.e. Reptisafe), exterminate (i.e. PAM), etc. for the hobby.
    RIP Mamba
