Smeagol and the grub
You want me to eat what?
To funny. At first he seemed offended. How dare I disturb him. But then...that thing MOVED! If it moves it has to be grabbed! Then he held that first one in his mouth like a cigar for the longest time..LOL.
By grub 2 and 3 he was a Pro! Sometimes shaking them like a dog would. Hahaha...
But they have to wriggle first...
They are Phoenix worms, high in Calcium and no need to dust them..

I ordered Dubia roaches and then decided to add a cup of those worms.
The roaches are actually a bit small, so I decided to hold a grub out to Smeagol to see what would happen. I totally expected him to ignore them just to spite my efforts, LOL

Geckos are separate. You can buy a Gecko now and the snake in 2 month.
Makes for a nice balance
And aren't they adorable, LOL

Hahaha, his eyelashes are all scrunched down like he is scowling at that grub!
Word of advice on the phoenix worms: They are awesome feeders, but make him eat them slowly. One at a time with a short wait between each one. For some reason I found that when they snarf a bunch down sometimes it makes them re-gurge them right back up in a nasty pile. So just go slow and that won't happen.

Omgosh...
Well..since he held them in his mouth for a rather long time I hope it's ok. He didn't eat them very fast or one right after the other. But he did have 4 of them over 15 minutes or so...
Hope I don't come home to regurged.worms..yikes!
By the time I left the house he had held them down for about an hour and a half..
