    Tofu :P

    who is this?

    it's Tofu, my Avalanche boy!

can't believe he was such a pink lil boy at the Reptile Holiday Market last winter. i got him at the same show as Jelly Belly.

^ this was after his 1st meal w/ me.

it woulda been so kool (!) if he stayed pink, alas he did not. but i love white snakes w/ red eyes. he's whiten out but has light yellow lines.

    Very nice. Love the name.

he was hatched on Thanksgiving eve 2016 and sold to me like 4weeks later. so he's like almost 1.5years old and weighs only 115grams at the time these pix were taken the other day. i think i've been baby feeding him. he's always happy to eat and i'm gonna move him to hoppers.

So... I don't think Tofu is an avalanche. His baby pictures are identical to a blizzard, plus his yellow is the pastel yellow seen in charcoal rather than the mustard yellow of anery a.

So if diffused is present, what you actually have is a whiteout. However, a diffused snake doesn't have checkers and add in the color and the presence of checkers, I think that what you have is a blizzard. I bring this up solely in case you are ever planning to breed because you definitely need to know what to expect from pairings. No matter what, he's absolutely gorgeous.

regarding feeding, at 115 grams he's actually ready to be on weanlings. I'd do a few meals of hoppers just to 'warm him up' so to speak, and then move on to the weanling (13 to 18 gram) mice.

For a little comparison/perceptive the best eater of my corns I got the end of may in 17. At the time he was about 11 or 12 inches and under 15g. So he is probably about a year old now. Currently he is 170g, up to 35" and eating medium adult mice. Another corn that I rescued was a 2yo his previous owner was only feeding him a fuzzy. He was about 22" and only 70g. After a couple of months of slowly working him up to the hoppers level he is about 120g and almost ready to move up to small mice. Once he gets up to feeding on mice like he should be his feedings will get cut back.
