New BPs for future breeding - PICS

1.0 Queen Bee (Lesser, Pastel, Spider)
Got him at a local breeder and he is about a yr old now. (Not sure his exact birthdate)
Here are some shots and weight record:

    Suggestions for name??
He last shed in about 3 days ago and looking real smooth now.

And recently got a younger female for future breeding
    0.1 Fire Ball Python

Can someone confirm she is a Fire ? Breeder did the popping test for sex:female.

And I am expecting a new addition real soon:
    0.1 Enchi Pinstripe Ball Python

Hoping to breed them in a few years when they mature

Very nice snakes ya got there, I especially love that queen bee. I'm not sure if that fire is actually a fire though... I suppose it could be, but at that size I'd expect more.... pizzazz... it looks a bit like a really nice normal, but I suppose I could be wrong.

I like Phantom for your Queen Bee. The little caramel spots on his head are just too much.

Re: New BPs for future breeding - PICS

Can i have some help with the “Fire” Female? Shes been with me a week and the more I observe and compare to other fire ball pythons on the internet, the more i think she’s Not a fire.
    -head marking is not pronounced
    -colour seems too dark
-doesnt have a clear belly - (dirty belly)

If you guys can confirm, i’d like to trade her with the shop that sold it to me.

Here are some more pictures of her and her belly shots:

    Your inputs are much appreciated!

Update on the female Enchi Pinstripe:
Got her 3 days ago and she looks amazing, just on the thin side. According to the breeder, she’s just past 3 months. Plan to weigh her in a couple of weeks to have a benchmark.

This time i’m pretty sure that this a true Enchi Pinstripe!
    Name suggestions are welcome!

I commented on your other thread about the fire girl, but just saw this too.
Just a thought: if the person you got the animal from is misidentifying morphs they could also be misidenifying females using only the popping method. I've heard enough stories about a "female" being popped by the seller and sold as female only to find out later it's a male and the hemipenes just didn't pop that day.

I was just thinking the same thing LOL. If I were you I'd get a probe kit and probe each snake to confirm. It's much easier and there's not much chance of messing it up.

Just choose the right size probe, lube it with KY jelly, and slowly and gently insert into the vent. Then wait for a few seconds for the snake to relax so it goes all the way in, don't push it hard at all. Then you can count the subcautal scales and tell if it's a male or female, easy peasy. It's best to watch a few YouTube videos before you do it. I recently bought a collection of virgin females ready to breed (10 snakes) and they guy raised them up for three years. He never probed them and sure enough, one was a male. I didn't find out until I paired it up with another male and heard them thrashing around in the tub LOL.

Thanks for the insights. Will definitely be bringing her back to the seller and trade her for something else. Luckily realised this early and not having to grow her for few months or more and realising that i can never have a firefly...

Went to the shop today and exhanged the ‘fire’ to a female mojave. She’s still a baby though!
I was told she’s less than 2 months old.

She looks darker than usual mojave but her yellows are amazing in my opinion. Currently she has a pink belly which i think is an indication that she’ll be in shed soon! Her first shed too!
