Vail Chameleon died last night, out of the blue

Vail Chameleon died last night, out of the blue.

I got feeder crickets from a pet store closer to my house yesterday. She was hungry and chowed down. She was alive before I went to bed. This morning, dead. Fed her from a feeding box this time. Could the feeders be contaminated with something that would kill her?

Wow that’s so sad and scary. My condolences

did you call the place ?? She was fine and healthy before the feeding ? No issues ? Could something else had been in the box? Could it have eaten wood?

Thanks everyone. My girlfriend is very upset. Was her chameleon even though it lived at my place.

I did talk to them. They are looking into it, what ever that means? She was 2 inches long so still young. Healthy eater and had shed last week. We have had her for 2 weeks. She had shown no signs of not being healthy till now. The crickets were all over her body this morning. Could they have overpowered her? IDK what to think. They were small crickets.

What other reptiles are in the House?

was she quarantined in anyway? Where did she come from?

dont you have a new snake coming today? I’d make sure you look into other animals as well

She was quarantined in a room alone. 3 BPs and 1 red tail boa in the house currently besides her. I quarantine all my animals when purchased for a couple of months. I also wash my hands between handling them and handle the quarantine animals last before tending to other things. The red tail boa is in a room alone right now also. (different room)

Everyone else is alive and acting as normal.

If you think of anything else, please ask. I don't want this to happen again.
