    First clutch of 2018!

    Woooooo Hooooooo!
Just went down to feed the snakes and I opened up the tubs and witnessed this awesome sight! It's my Lemonblast (Pastel Pinstripe) female on a clutch of eggs! She laid 10 good eggs, zero slugs. I'm guessing she laid them yesterday because they were really tough to get apart and looks like they had some stains from the Prococo bedding. They came out all stuck together but didn't fit in my egg tubs so I pulled a few off and put them in a separate tub.

My pairing was a Coral Glow Het Pied x Pastel Pinstripe female. Here are my odds below. I have a 1 in 16 chance to hit my Coral Glow Pastel Pinstripe het pied that I eventually want to work into a pied combo. If I get a female I can hold her back and cross her with my fire pied male in a few years and shoot for a Coral Glow Pastel Pinstripe Fire Pied!

    Percent Fraction Genes
    6.25 % 1/16 Normal (Wild Type, Classic)
    6.25 % 1/16 Het Piebald
    6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow (White Smoke)
    6.25 % 1/16 Pinstripe (pin)
    6.25 % 1/16 Pastel (Pastel Jungle)
6.25 % 1/16 Pastel (Pastel Jungle) Het Piebald
6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow (White Smoke) Het Piebald
    6.25 % 1/16 Pinstripe (pin) Het Piebald
    6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Pinstripe
    6.25 % 1/16 Lemon Blast
    6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Pastel
6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Pastel Het Piebald
    6.25 % 1/16 Lemon Blast Het Piebald
6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Pinstripe Het Piebald
    6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Lemon Blast
6.25 % 1/16 Coral Glow Lemon Blast Het Piebald

Thanks! I just realized it's 1 in 16 for the combo but then 50:50 for a male or female, so maybe 1 in 32 for a female Coral Glow Pastel Pinstripe het Pied? So with 10 eggs I have a 33% chance of hitting my odds?

I really don't want a male because right now I have a limited number of female pieds that are breeding weight and I have plans for those girls.

    1 in 32. So you're telling me there's a chance.

    Best of luck.

Clutch #2 is happening right now!!

I thought this girl was going to be the first clutch of the year based on her follicle size via ultrasound, looks like she missed it by one day! Two clutches in two days WOW. I just caught her in the process of laying her first egg, then decided to close up the tub so she could lay them in peace. I'll give her an hour or two and check back on her. Exciting!!!

So for this one I crossed a male high expression Scaleless Head to a female Jungle Woma Spider. Hoping to eventually produce a Scaleless 'Puzzleback' (Super Jungle Woma). Looks like I have better odds in this clutch, it's a 1 in 4 chance of getting either a Scaleless Head Jungle Woma Spider or Scaleless Head Jungle Woma. I'll have to hold back a male and female for a future cross.

It's taking her a lot longer than I thought it would, it's been over an hour and she is still going. So far I see at least two pearly white eggs! I'll let you know this evening what the final count is!
