I would not do anything right now. Your stressed and as you mentioned he is going onto shed. Let him shed first. If it was RI symptoms that would be one thing, but anything else can wait till sheds done and a good evaluation can take place. Relax nothing bad will happen fast. Dont use things your not sure he needs

Go to the vet. I assume you already have a vet? If not, that is the first thing to do when you own reptiles, find a good vet who knows what he/she is doing. Take the snake in. An office visit should be like $50 and the vet can tell you whats going on vs all us armchair vets on the internet lol.

Re: New male burm has funny looking snoot???

I recently noticed the same thing with my Pearl, but to a lesser degree.

Do you notice this after feeding? The reason I ask is because the discoloration appeared on my Burm's snout, lower lip and side after feeding. I believe it was dried blood from constricting and swallowing a frozen thawed rat as the rat's nose was bleeding over the paper plate throughout the process.

It came off after a warm bath though. This may be the case with your snake but I'm far from an expert on these things.

He said it doesnt come off. My retic gets blood on himself a lot from rats and guinea pigs but after a big drink and sloshing in water bowl of his face, it is all clean. Like i said, the brown stuff that doesnt come off along with a funky closing mouth would make worried, especially if you just got the snake. I would be worried about it having something and my other snakes somehow getting it. I hope you are quarantining and get it to the vet.
