    2nd Guessing Myself! Help!

    Hello all...

So I paired my Glowfly male with a Hypo Black Pastel. I got a great variety of combos. I am about to list these babies but I'm not sure if the female is an actual Black Pastel or not. I was told she was but I am wondering if she is actually a Hypo Cinnamon. I question myself because 2 of the babies which I thought were Hypo Pastel Black Pastel now look like Hypo Cinnamon Pastels. Here are my 2 Babies....

    Male

    Female

World of Ball Pythons has this Hypo Pewter as an offspring of a Hypo + Pastel + Cinnamon

These guys look identical. What do you guys think? Cinnamon? I can post pics of other babies that hatched, just let me know. Thanks!!

The problem is that within the same mutation and sometime within the same clutch there can be a lot of variation from one individual to another, I have produced a Black Pastel that looked like cinnamon.

With combos the difference can be even more dramatic especially depending on the hypo used.

Now if you purchase your Hypo Black Pastel from a reputable breeder then there is no reason to be doubtful, but if you bought from someone that did not care about lineage or did not have a clue about mutations then it would be best that your listing reflect that doubt.

IMO that looks to be within the normal variation/range of their morph. post a pix of your Hypo Black Pastel.

This is the only pic I have of the mom from when I got her. She was definitely sold to me as a Hypo Black Pastel. I'll have to get a recent shot.

Lol u only have 1 pix of the mom who u have raised from hatchling to motherhood? she's a Hypo Black Pastel, there's no need to doubt the breeder if she/he is reputable. u don't need to drive yourself crazy or complicate things. i still think they're Hypo Black Pewters.

that said being that Black Pastel and Cinny are allelic, i have noticed some differences in their respective combos. in my experience for example, a Banana Black Pastel's pattern is more yellow whereas a Banana Cinny is more orange. also a Super Black Pastel is more clean while a Super Cinny alotta times have orange splotching. so i guess u can try for these combo's next and see what colors and patterns develop.

    Talking

Hahaha...That was the only one I could find on my current computer. I have been through several hard drives over the last 10 years. I'd have to dig through them. I do need to do more photo shoots though.

Im keeping the 4 gene male (last pic) and selling the rest. Got him in mind for some other hypo projects. Wouldn't hurt to breed him back to his mom next season so see what pops out. Should be interesting.

    Thanks for your input.
