I don’t feed because a huge burm is cool I feed as brad has given instruction to also for breeding purposes everybody has different opinions lol
My reply is more directed towards adults once metabolism has slowed way down. I feed heavy the first 6 months, then a little lighter the next 6 months but all in all I dont moderate much until after 1.5 yrs old.
When Im talking about Obese Burms, Im talking about 4/5 year old burms thicker than my head.. And Ive seen several like that. Thats just not healthy but its also not my snake. You wont see me criticize anyone unless they're doing something ridiculous with their husbandry that will lead to sickness or death.
I say name him "LOG'. He looks like a burm version of Caesar, my SD retic.

Looks awesome. How big is he now and how big is the enclosure? Do you find he uses his hide still or is he confident enough to stay out in the open? Mine doesn't use her hides anymore at all.
I would say 4.5-5 ft cage is a 6x24xx24 and neither of my burms use there hides anymore they usually just park themselves in the corner lol
Yeah the guy i bought my Burm from said adults are confident and don't need hides so none of his had them. Mine stopped using hers 2 weeks ago but like you I still offer it. She's about 4 feet.
