    Just had this built

6ft x 2ft my golden child is just under 4 feet so now I've got two of them that are ready to go in cages I'm thinking The Golden Child in the red cage would look badass

Nice looking cages but i would have gone 3 feet deep especially for a mainland. Caesar who is a SD hybrid still uses about half the depth of the cage when curled up.

Space available makes it hard to go that wide....
I plan get one more made at 6x2 I'll have three for three female's...
Looking to buy a house end of next summer so I'll have 8x3 made they'll have their own room an plenty of space for cages..

My golden child has doubled in weight in two weeks an gain almost half foot in a month and that's not power feeding her either.. so I wanted to have cages made now before they outgrow the tubs completely so I'll have two of them going into cages

Lol yup, retics grow fast and you got mainlands....way too big for me to handle alone. I personally dont want anything over 10 feet or so. I've already experienced what a 7-8 foot retic can do when you do stuff it isnt having fun with. With the whole tooth through the lip fiasco with Caesar, he wrapped completely around my waist and twice around my right leg as i was holding his neck and pulling his upper lip down and unhooking it from a tooth lol.

To put it mildly. Caesar was less than happy and I'm surprised i didnt get bit when i put him back lol. Instead he laid there and sulked for about 10 mins and when i tried to console him, he shoved my hand away and kept doing it for about 3 days lol. He wanted nothing to do with me and would avoid me if he saw me and go in his hide or the other direction. After about 3 days, he was ok and came back to see me and sit on my arm and enjoy the petting again. It's funny how he acted like an angered child.

Looks great man! I have never owned a Retic but the way Sauzo makes it sound, they pee A LOT.

If it's me, I buy some epoxy resin (usually available from like a Lowes or Home Depot nowdays) and coat the bottom and a few inches up the sides. Super easy. Mix equal parts and pour it in, spread it around, and you have 100% waterproof cage bottom that can't be destroyed. It's clear so it would show your new paint too.

Just my $0.02 and typical nitpicking
